Lori Lautaret stoffer

Lori was introduced to music early on through family jams and church. She began classical piano and ear-training at age 7 with Julie Cloyed and later studied under Jane Wyman, Master Teacher Kay Lund of Whitefish through high school, and Ruth Ann Yerden and Dr. Walter Saul at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. Since 1994, Lori has taught individual lessons and group music classes and lead or been part of teams of musicians for gigs, private events, concerts, and theatre. In 2022, she began coaching musical theatre for Eureka high schoolers and has enjoyed seasonal music teaching in the wider-area schools. Lori imagines musical skills as keys that can open doors across one’s lifespan: self-expression, emotional regulation, and connection with others. She enjoys working with people of every age in piano, voice, and beginning mandolin and ukulele. Lori, her husband and three children are building their home in Eureka, along with a dog, a three-legged cat, and a bin of worms.
