Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all music programs. This position will manage faculty, grow student enrollment, and ensure our programs align with our mission of excellence and accessibility.
- Program Oversight: Manage all school programming, including scheduling classes, developing new educational initiatives, and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
- Faculty Leadership: Recruit, hire, and support teaching staff, coordinate schedules, and manage annual performance evaluations.
- Engagement & Marketing: Act as the primary contact for student programs, manage volunteers, and help coordinate marketing content for social media, newsletters, and the website.
- Event Management: Organize logistics for concerts, summer camps, and events, including venue setup and volunteer management.
- Operations: Assist with annual budgeting, manage monthly enrollment reports, and ensure compliance with school policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Music, Music Education, Arts Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in event management and proficiency in Microsoft 365. Preferred experience in nonprofit music programs and CRM/donor database management.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative spirit.
- Requirements: Ability to work evenings/weekends for events, a valid driver’s license, and a clean criminal background check.
