Cynthia (Cindy) Browne began her study of violin at the age of 11 and as a teenager was involved with the Glacier Symphony. After completing her last year of high school by attending Interlochen Arts Academy where she studied violin with Paul Sonner, Cindy received her BA in violin performance from the University of Memphis under the instruction of Soh-Hyun Altino. Also through the University, she received training in Suzuki books 1 through 4 under Libby Armour, and has over a decade of teaching experience. She has played with various orchestras including the Glacier Symphony and Jackson Symphony, the MasterWorks Festival, and has performed in various chamber music ensembles. In addition to violin, Mrs. Browne is an artist working with many different mediums from oil painting to bronze sculpture. She and her husband, cellist Griffin Browne, enjoy hiking, gardening, and raising their three children in the mountains of Montana.
