North Valley Music School will serve over 700 students for the 2010-2011 school year. Scholarships are available for low-income students. We bring music to many of our community venues that include; local retirement homes, the Whitefish Farmer's Market and the Festival Amadeus Camp. Tuition only covers teacher salaries and payroll expenses but not general operating expenses. The remaining expenses are raised through grants, donations from individuals, businesses, and fundraisers.
We ask that you consider a tax-deductible donation to our school so that we can continue bringing music to the community. Donations can take the form of cash, in-kind donations or planned giving. We accept in-kind donations of musical instruments, music, housing for our out-of-town teachers, etc. We also accept planned gifts including the donation of stocks, bonds, and securities. Donations can be made directly to NVMS or to our Endowment Fund.
Endowment gifts may be made to the General Endowment Fund, which supports the school through operating expenses or designated for a particular use. Your gift may be designated toward the teaching of an instrument of your choosing.
Volunteer Contributions to NVMS may also be made in the form of volunteer time. Volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to our school annually in the form of maintenance, gardening, graphic design and fundraising. Please contact NVMS to find out how you can be of help.
