North Valley Music School is the only non-profit, community music school in Montana. Located in beautiful Whitefish, we annually serve 400 students of all ages through private lessons, early childhood music, performing ensembles, group classes, workshops, master classes, and summer camps. We also bring music to over 1,500 community members each year with our faculty and student concerts and community performances. This year we are celebrating our 16th year of enriching our community through musical education and performance. Our faculty of 11 offers private lessons in Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Electric Bass, Voice, Guitar, Electric Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Harp, and Flute. Scholarships are available for all ages. NVMS relies on donations and grants from individuals, businesses and foundations to keep our school running and provide an affordable, quality music education for all (see Support NVMS). NVMS is housed in a historic Whitefish building at 432 Spokane Avenue (Hwy 93), convenient to downtown and schools.

News & Announcements

Thank you to John Kramer of The Kramer Family Foundation for presenting us with the challenge to raise $40,000  between the first of Oct. and the first of April.  If the challenge was met The Kramer Family Foundation would make a donation to the school in the amount of $10,000.  You made it happen!  We reached our goal of $40,000 on March 31st. With the added benefit of these funds we will be able to  continue to enrich the musical life of our community.  We fundraise year round to meet the needs of the music school, won't you please consider  making a tax-deductible gift today!  Your support is greatly appreciated.
